Measuring guide
How to measure
A few careful measurements are all it takes. Grab a steel tape measure, measure in millimetres, and always round to the nearest millimetre.
Before you start
- Use a steel tape measure — fabric tapes stretch and give inaccurate readings.
- Measure in millimetres and write width first, then drop (height).
- Measure each window individually, even if they look identical.
Recess (inside) fit
For blinds that sit inside the window opening, measure the exact width and drop of the recess in three places and use the smallest measurement for each. We make the deductions needed for a smooth fit — enter the exact recess size.
Face (outside) fit
For blinds mounted on the wall or frame above the window, decide how much overlap you want on each side (we recommend 50–100 mm) and measure the total width and drop you want the blind to cover. Enter that final size.
